About the Artist: Aziziah Diah Aprilya

Aziziah Diah Aprilya, also known as Zizi, is a photographer, writer, and arts and culture practitioner based in Makassar. Her work is rooted in the exploration of cities, women, and intergenerational relationships, using archival materials and collective memory as inspiration. Zizi is active in local literacy and art communities, and her photography has been featured in exhibitions across Yogyakarta, Solo, Jakarta, and Makassar. In 2024, she was awarded the Objectifs Documentary Award for emerging photographers. She is also a member of Women Photograph and Diversify Photo.

In addition to Got Your Back, Zizi's work is also featured in Plaza, an evocative collection of black-and-white street photography that captures the raw essence of urban life.
